The Last One

is over and done. It wasn't easy. I was nausous from the moment I got there. Really bad. Luckily my good mate Helen was there too so we had a good chat to keep our minds off of things. She ended up in hospital twice this last time for over a week. She had a blood transfusion due to low red blood cells and then was hit with bronchitas. Poor girl.

I am still feeling nausous tonight but not quite as bad. I am hoping chemo will be kind to me on my last time. Now I wait for the icky feeling to kick in. Hopefully by Saturday I will start to feel good. If you don't hear from me you know why.

I asked once again another doctor to check how many lymph nodes I had removed. He counted eight according to the pathology results. Another different number I have been told.

I am hoping I don't get the bug the girls have both had. They mainly had a very high temp, headache, sore throat and a bit of a cough. I will end up in hospital if I get it over the next week. A place I don't want to go back too.

Great news. My picc line was removed today. Might of had something to do with nagging the doctor for a removal date. She suggested after Christmas and I said NO.It had already been in 9 weeks (they are meant to be in now more than 12 weeks and I have had so many problems with mine) It was so uncomfortable and my skin was covered in blisters and sores from all the dressings. My arm is looking a little sad and in a bad way. It didn't hurt having it removed but it is very bruised and sore now. I am so happy to have it removed.

Mum I got your text messages but I can't stand the metalic smell of my mobile phone once I am having chemo so I haven't replied. Sorry.
