School Concert

The girls had their end of year school Christmas concert last night. It was great to see all the classes performing. They all did really well this year. Leah's theme was based on Idol and was pretty cool. Kady's class did This is Your Life (from prep till grade 6) and was really funny.

The grade sixes all received their graduation scholarships. I only managed one shot of Kady about to shake hands with her teacher before she was off stage. Next week we have her graduation dinner. She has a cute dress and shoes picked out. It was a little sad thinking this is her last primary school concert.

The teachers put on a great performance (the first time) at the end of the concert. Had everyone in stitches acting out to their own themes songs, from Let's Get Physical, Jessie's Girl and Barbie Girl as well as many others. It was a great end to the evening.

I was happy to get through the night without feeling too sick. Still feeling very icky today. Looking forward to the fog lifting.

Oh Dawn I use to love the boys Grade 6 Graduation nights and their Grade 6 dinner. I got to attend as a staff member then as I was working at the same school. The Grade 6 children and the staff use to have a dinner at the Warburton Golf Club and then the rest of the parents were invited to supper.
Your daughter is about to enter a whole new phase of her schooling......scarey...but it's also exciting for her. Secondary School opens so many more opportunites to the kids both during school hours and after school.
Hope you are feeling better today....

only seems the other day that Lady Kady was born,I can remember it so well.
I was a bundle of nerves that day, J ason had rang to say you were in Labour, I cleaned the house from top to bottom that morning.
Glad that you got to the concert and was not feeling to bad.
Our little girl all grown up, I remember when you went to High school and I could see you from the kitchen window walking home from school, even when you left home I would still look for you coming down the road.
