Lord Lodge

I thought I would share some pictures of where I stayed whilst the Stitches and Craft Show was on.

I stayed at a beautiful 130 year old historic bed and breakfast on the edge of Caulfield racetrack. The Lord Lodge is part of a working horse stable and is owned by Jackie and Collin Little.

My room was gorgeous. Attention paid to every little detail. I had such a relaxing stay. Breakfast was to die for. We ate breakfast in a lovely dining room overlooking the horse yards. We could see the horses returning from training and being fed. We had silver service laid out on the table. Breakfast began with some yoghurt and half a peach, you could also have toast and cereals. We also had sauteed mushrooms on ciabatta (sp). Yum. Jackie is a wonderful host and I felt very pampered.

Lord Lodge has this awesome turret. You follow the narrow staircase upstairs and it overlooks the racetrack. The original owner built it so he could watch his horses train.
