Back Yard Visitor

Jason was getting ready for work this morning just after half past five when he heard a noise out in the back yard.

We have my MIL's Kelpie here for a week so assumed it was Kip.

He turned on the back light and there is this huge wombat munching away on the grass. I don't think he realised there was a dog there and was quite close to Kip.

Didn't get a photo:( These images were taken off the net.
It's the first one we have seen in our yard in nearly five years. We have seen lots of Wombat poo over the years but no Wombats.
Being such a good Mum I woke the girls up. lol. They were so excited. Payback for years of being woken up by them.

Oh cool is that Dawn! My girls would have wanted to have been woken up too. How lovely that you have such wonderful visitors on your property.

That's wonderful Dawn - it's so nice when the native wildlife stop by for a visit isn't it?

We've had a koala visit several times, an echidna and lots of blue tongues & native birds who call our garden home too!
