Telstra #$%*@

Bloody Telstra. Two weeks ago they rang saying we could get broadband. We went and bought a router etc so we could network all the computers. Tuesday afternoon I get a phone call saying our lines aren't able to cope with broadband even though they upgraded the main box. Seems 80% of people in our area can get it and a few can't because as our area grew they split our phonelines to cope with the increased traffic. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

We can get wireless but this is more expensive, limited download and we can't network the computers. We moved the downstairs computer into Kady's room earlier this week (so she can use it for homework). So shitty. Not happy.

Jason is ringing someone today to see if we get rid of our second phoneline will that give us enough room on the SCaDS network to cope with broadband.

What makes me shitty is that we changed everything across to Telstra, phone lines etc two weeks ago before they told us they had tested our line. Really annoyed can you tell.

Don't you just love Telestra. Not.. We can only get wireless in our area. but some it is only satelite. Keep on Telstra's tail until they decide to do something. No matter who you are with they are all the same. sometimes they just get you over a barrel and keep you there. You concentrate on your radiotherapy, and let them sort it out.
Keep smiling and healthy.

That sucks big time Dawn. Hope something gets worked out for you. I'm still on dial-up and manage to get a top speed of 53kb. Not very fast at all.

What a pain in the butt - how can they you all of this without testing whether it's capable or not!
