I rang Nanny tonight at the hospice. She sounds very sick but is in good spirits. Nanny said she has been in bed since Christmas. Nanny says her room is like a bedsit with a lovely sitting area, some armchairs, a radio and enough room for her to have some photos etc. She said the staff are lovely. Nanny always sees the best in every situation. Never one to complain.
I spoke to her for about 15 minutes, we chatted about the horrible weather they have had, about Linda's upcoming bundle about to be born, her house, Uncle Michael dropping in every day (and her worrying about how he is when he has worked all day and doesn't finish till late), she is worried about me and how I am coping with treatment etc
After a bit, she had to go as her carers had come to give her a bath. I will ring her in a few days and let the girls says hello to her. She really wanted to chat to the kids tonight.

we also rang my mum, she sounded very tired, she was more worried about how I was, dear soul.
We did not talk for long, as she was asleep when we rang, and the nurse had to wake her up.
She was the one I always rang a few years ago when I was sick, she has always been there for me, dont know how I will go when she is not there.
I am so glad that a few years ago, we treated her to a holiday over here, she just loved it, she has got such good memories of being out here.
