Jason emailed this to me this morning. Looks like I better order a bottle of gas today as we are out of gas and have next to no wood left. I was hoping the cold days had finished.
Cold blast set to hit the southeast
Winter is set to return to TAS, VIC and NSW with a strong cold front forecast to cross the southeast on Tuesday and Wednesday. The front will spread showery winds and an unseasonably cold change through TAS and southern VIC on Tuesday before extending throughout the rest of VIC and NSW on Wednesday. The front will not only generate widespread showers but will be also produce snow, hail and thunderstorms. The airmass will be cold enough for showers to fall as snow to about 600m in VIC and 1200m in NSW on Wednesday. Canberra is forecast to reach a top of only 14 degrees on Wednesday, potentially their second coldest November day in 10 years, with snow to also fall on the nearby ranges. Hobart 12 degrees (7 below average) and Melbourne 17 (5 below) are both set to experience their coldest November day since 2001 on Wednesday.
