Geelong And The Surf Coast

Monday we headed off to Geelong and the surf coast for the day. First stop though was for me to had a blood test prior to having chemo on Tuesday. Poor lady had so much trouble getting a tiny amount of blood and tried twice. I was black and blue. My veins kept collapsing every time she tried.

Dad shouted us all lunch at Smorgy's on Cunningham pier. Smorgy's is Kady's favourite place to eat. Although we have only eaten their three times. It's an all you can eat type of restraurant and has a animated show that comes on every half hour. We walked along the foreshore and checked out all the bollards. There are a heap of different ones spaced all the way along. Some of them are cute others are funny.

Little kids and some big kids (Dad and Donna) rode the carousel. The horses have all been restored and are over 100 years old. They are beautiful.

After lunch we headed down to Torquay and Bells Beach. It was blowing a gale and quite cold compared to the foreshore at Geelong. I took a heap of photos (what else is new lol). Our last stop was Anglesea for coffee and ice-creams. A great day.

We arrived back home at five and Jason and I started organising the meat for a bbq. Jason's Mum, Mary and Eddie arrived by six for tea. Mary bought Dylan some cute clothes. I think D could dress a few more toddlers with the size of his wardrobe. He also has a shoe fetish lol, (not sure who he gets that off of Mum). We had a lovely but tiring day.

You are looking good. That area looks lovey. The restaurant sounds fun. I want to see all the bollards!

Looks and sounds like you had a fab day. I love Geelong and the foreshore, but Lorne is my favourite place - we sit and have fish 'n' chips on the beach for tea :)
