Steve Irwin

died after a freak accident today. He was struck by a stringray barb whilst filming a documentry off of the Low Isles near Port Douglas. Jason, Kady, Leah and I have snorkeled at the same spot. His wife and kids are trekking Cradle Mountain in Tasmania at the moment.

Steve Irwin had such a passion for animals. Such a loss. I feel so sorry for his wife and children.

It's so sad isn't it. His poor family. His little girl idolised her dad.

Girl, I was just about to post this on my blog and I had downloaded the same photo too.

I think he was a great ambassador for Australia and will be sadly missed by many. I feel for his wife and children....
We have snorkelled in that area too and my cousin when visiting from the USA went diving in the outer area.
It is always hard to comprehend the sudden loss of such a happy go lucky person...
