Pee Wee

This is a layout about a pony I owned when we lived in Kingsthorpe. The two photos on the left were taken when we first got him (check out my holly hobby undies. mmm lovely) and the other picture was taken after we had him about six months and he had fattened up. Gosh Mum loved Pee Wee lol.

Journaling reads:

One Saturday morning I was reading the livestock column in ‘The Chronicle’ for any cheap horses for sale. I loved horses and had wanted a horse of my own for so long. I came across an ad for horses for $40. Dad had a look at the ad and he decided we would go and look and see what they were like. I was so excited.

The horses were for sale down the bottom of the range. We arrived at the paddock to check them out and all we could see was a speck in the distance. They were brumbies, and you couldn’t get anywhere near them. I was so disappointed. The guy said he had a pony for sale back at his house. Pee Wee was nine months old. Dad agreed to buy him and paid the guy $180. He arrived six weeks before Christmas. He was my only Christmas present besides a couple of small items that year. I had Pee Wee for nine months before we had to sell him due to the drought and the cost of feeding him. Dad used to lunge him in the paddock and Mum was terrified of him as he used to chase her when she went to collect eggs. She called him Piddle pot. Kingsthorpe, 1981/1982

I remember that stupid horse, I was so scared of him.
He had a good name piddle pot.
Do you remember when Donna was out in the paddock with some food, and he came up to her to eat her foof, and she was underneath him, and he started to go down on her to squash her.
Poor me, I nearly had a heart attack.

Carla used to live in Kingsthorpe. Obviously not at the same time as you. Small world!
