A Father
A quick layout I finished yesterday. Photo of Dad, myself and Tony taken in Cornwall approx 1974.
Still feeling pretty good today, Day 2. A little nauseous still but all in all pretty good. As well as not being able to drink water now it seems my coffee is also tasting quite yucky. I love my coffee. Looks like I have to join those bloody poms with their tea drinking. Lucky I don't mind a good drop of tea as well. Uncle Pete you would be proud of me.
Thanks for all the comments. Still not sure about the wig. Not sure if I will wear it enough to benefit from paying the money for it. Will try some on on Saturday and think about it. My bandana's and turban hats arrived. They look pretty cool. Will share a photo later.
In regards to the Herceptin drug, sadly I am unable to take it as my hormone and HER2 receptors are all negative. If you are hormone postive then your cancer thrives on the oestrogen and progestrone that your body produces. Luckily mine doesnt'. On the up side though you can take drugs to prevent this. Postive would mean they respond to long term preventative treatment after the chemo and radiotherapy. This can be taken up to five years after treatment is finished. I own't have the option of this.
Still have Leah home today with her nausea bug. She is feeling a lot better and is hounding me for some craft activities to do.
