Feeling really good. Tired (need a nana nap most days) and some thrush in my mouth (from the chemo), which is driving me nuts but all in all my first dose wasn't near as bad as I envisioned. It's doable so far. Over the next few days my immune system will be at it's lowest as my cells are being bombarded and hopefully rebuilding as we speak. I have a blood test next Tuesday to see how my cells are coping with the war going on inside my body and an oncologist and physio appointment on Wednesday. I have an image in my head of all my bad cells being knocked on the head and new GOOD cells popping up everywhere sticking out their tongues. It will be nice if each chemo hit stays like this one. Only time will tell but until then it's one day at a time.
Still have my shiny locks of hair ( I will share shaving and bald pics when it happens). My oncologist told me it would be almost gone by now but I haven't started losing it yet. Each morning I feel my head and check my pillow to see if I have transformed into Uncle Fester overnight. I am sure it will only be days or a week at the most before it starts coming out. I am in need of a haircut but there is no way I am paying for a trim when it's going to fall out lol. The girls are probably finding me losing my hair the hardest. They are such girly girls.
I have been scrapping heaps. Not much else to do when I can't go to work (I am however still writing for Scrapbook Creations and commissioning the Top Ten) and I have a cleaner to clean my house (thanks to our wonderful shire council and hospital in the home). This is the cleaners last week so I will enjoy. My cleaner Sue has been awesome. Her partner is going through chemo long term as he has terminal cancer and they are helping him achieve quality of life as there is no more than can do for him. She is so positive and such a lovely person. Her belief is to take one day at a time and enjoy. So true.
Jason put his back out the other day and has been to the chiropractor, the doctor and has been in so much pain. He is back to the chiro tonight. He slept better last night thanks to good drugs lol.
I am off to do a photo shot today. A good friend and her buddy have set up a fairy business. Looking forward to snapping some cool pics amongst the gum tree's on her ten acre bush block. Might share some pictures tonight.
