My Journey Kit
Yesterday I received a My Journey Kit from the Breast Cancer Society. I didn't get a chance to look through it till late last night after I got in from work.
What a great kit. It has so much information that I haven't read elsewhere along with real life stories, a super duper diary to record all my appointments and treatments etc in and so much more.
Through reading some info last night I found a website where we may be applicable for a rural travel rebate. You have to travel over 100km one way to the hospital (we are under this) or over 500 a week in a block of five weeks. During radiotherapy I will be travelling over 600kms a week for five or six weeks so I am hoping we will get some funding. I will chat to the social worker at the hospital next week. If we get the funding we will get about 13cents per km which will cover nearly half my fuel for a week.
Fingers crossed.

Hi Dawn. Hope you remember me, it's been a while! I was directed here by Ngai's blog and just wanted to send you all my love and say that I will keep you in my thoughts. Like so many others, I do not know the right thing to say, so I will leave it there. Take care of you. xxxx
Great news Dawn! Fingers crossed you get that money!
