Cooking Up A Storm

Just a quick post today before I head off to work.

I have been taking it easy today and catching up on washing and have also baked a cake to freeze.

The last few days I have been cooking up a storm. I have cooked heaps of one pot style meals that will just require rice or pasta or potatoes to be cooked and served with them.

I have cooked

spag bog
chow mein
tuna pasta
thai green curry
thai vegetable curry
chilli con carne
chicken chassuer
pumpkin soup
chicken and mushroom with dijon mustard casserole
sausage and bean casserole
irish stew

I have put them all in takeaway style containers and put them in the freezer. I think I have about three weeks worth of meals. I have also made lemon slice, chocolate muffins, apple and cinnamon muffins and mars bar slice.

These should keep us going for a bit along with what my mil has cooked. I want to use these meals when Jason is back at work and I am recovering.

Ok off to work now. I am doing the late shift tonight and Friday night. Friday will be my last day for a bit. I shall miss the wonderful people I work with as well as the money.

Sounds VERY yummy. You have motivated me to freeze some meals. I used to always do it, and it is such a time saver in the long run. When you are on the road to recovery you will be so pleased you have cooked.
