Our Day (Part 2)

After visiting the park we went for a bit of a walk down Acland street and surrounding areas. We had lunch at Macca's ( the air con was lovely) and then let the kids check out the entrance to Luna park. They really wanted to go in but it was so hot it wouldn't have been to enjoyable lining up in the sun waiting for rides.
The kids thought this shop was such a laugh. All the characters above the shop having their hair done.

A stroll down Acland street wouldn't be complete without checking out all the continental cake shops. I am sure years ago there were heaps more but we only spotted three or four this time.

Next we went in search of the bathing boxes at Brighton beach. We ended up at Sandringham Beach ooppps. So after a paddle we headed back to the car to find the boxes.

Our next stop was Brighton beach to see the bathing boxes. I have wanted to visit these for years and they were as lovely as I had hoped. It was stinking hot so as we walked along admiring them we walked through the water. This was our favourite as well as the seahorse box.
