was so busy. Jason, Leah and I spent the day shopping for a birthday present for Kady. Kady spent the day shopping for a birthday present for herself with her fabulous God mother Shell. She is so lucky to have someone like Shell in her life.
I can't believe my girl is turning twelve on Sunday. She wanted an mp3 player for her birthday so we searched high and low for the pink one she wanted. Mp3 players have come down in price so much. She will love this. I want one. I also got her a throw rug for her bed. She loves things like that and in our cold weather it will be used often.
We also got her a starter kit for a mobile phone. I am so against her having a mobile phone. ALL her friends have one. Last Monday my MIL (penny) gave Kady her old phone and insisted she needed one now she was getting older. Kady was over the moon and although it's not even connected up it hasn't left her side. We keep teasing her and asking if she has any messages. Evil parents that we are. We weren't going to get her a mobile phone until she started highschool. Living so far out of town I wanted her to have one just in case she missed bus exchanges etc.
Anyway now my girl has a phone and I know she will be so happy when she realises she can text all her friends who are also on Telstra prepaid for 1 cent per text message.
I think winter has arrived early here. It has been so cold. We have only had a small amount of rain and our tank is still only 1/4 full. The garden is full of little finches and robin redbreasts. I have tried to take pictures of them but they are just so fast. Jason is going to build a birdfeeder so we can attract more into the garden. They only seem to come for a few months each year.
The next few weeks are going to be busy here. I will be out visiting scrap shops for Alison Ellis Design, we have three highschool information nights coming up, Kady's birthday this weekend and I have been cooking and freezing finger food for the last two weeks and to top it off I also have another job interview on Thursday for some very casual work. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
Anyway that's my update for today. Tomorrow is Anzac day. A public holiday here but more importantly a day to remember the brave men who served our country.
