Scrapbook Creations

I thought I would share that issue 29 is my last time my monthly article will appear in Scrapbook Creations. I feel a little sad but also feel a sense of freedom. It's the right decision for me and I feel good about it. I have known for over four months but have felt now it was time to announce it on my blog. Over the last few months it has felt so good scrapping just for me again (with only the odd work committment and class thrown in).

I have writtten my article since issue 2. That's quite a mean feat if I do say so myself. 28 issues over nearly 3 1/2 years along with 7 front covers. Since first being published in Creating Keepsakes (US edition) back in 2001 ( I was the lucky first Aussie) I have had over 350 layouts and items published. I still have to pinch myself as to how lucky I have been in this industry.

I will still being freelancing the top ten feature as well as contributing other items to Scrapbook Creations and other publications. Over the last six months I have had a great time working on a number of items for non scrapping publications. Can't wait for them to come out.

Wow. I had no idea you'd been writing for SC for that long! You're blog looks like a well kept secret. I'm looking forward to having a look through your layouts and lovely photos.

Dawn time for me to come out of lurkdom and say a huge THANKS to one of my favourite scrappers. Your articles and features in SC was one of the main reasons why I took up a subscription. Enjoy your scrapping for yourself and I know that I will see more of your talent "somewhere".
Cheers
